Updated COVID-19 Guidelines

As of August 17, 2021 we are requiring masks and social distancing while indoors for all visitors regardless of vaccination status.  Mask wearing is not required while outside or while in your room.  Dining arrangements are such that each person sits 6 feet apart. Please bring a mask(s) with you for your retreat.

Social distancing and mask wearing for all retreatants and staff is required to protect the health and safety of all who come to Bellarmine. Masks must be worn over the nose and mouth and should fit snugly against the sides of your face and under the chin.

If you are sick or feeling ill, please stay home and care for your health.

Our registration form has a limit to the number of characters in each question. When you get to the question asking about your vaccination status, please refer to this full explanation:

Please let us know which one of the two groups listed below best describes you:

1. I have been fully vaccinated (see below for definition) or will be by the start of the retreat/program, and I no longer require social distancing when in the chapels or when having meals in the Dining Room.

2. Either I am not fully vaccinated, or I have been vaccinated but request social distancing when in the chapels or when having meals in the Dining Room.

Fully vaccinated is defined as having received two shots of the vaccine in a 2-dose series (Pfizer or Moderna) and the last shot was at least 2 weeks ago; or one shot of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine, and the shot was at least 2 weeks ago.

As the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has stated, "being vaccinated safely against COVID-19 should be considered an act of love of our neighbor and part of our moral responsibility for the common good."

Contribution/Donation Information

Retreat House expenses are covered by contributions from our retreatants and generous gifts from many of our benefactors. Limited financial resources should not prevent anyone from making a retreat.

Your deposit is applied toward the suggested contribution for each retreat. In the event of a cancellation 3 or more days before the retreat begins, you may move your deposit to another retreat within the same season (September to May), request a refund, or donate your deposit as a tax-deductible gift to Bellarmine. The deposit may be moved only once per retreat season.

Please call the office (847-381-1261) if you require flexible funding or seek a scholarship.
